Lawrance Simpson is the kind of guy that you can spot from a mile away. He’s a tall and lanky fellow and usually sports a fluorescent neon beanie with a tagline that reads "uncool holerider" or something random like that. This New Zealand native turned Colorado homeboy told me last year (months before his 21st birthday) that he’d been paddling for 12 years. If you get the chance to paddle with Lawrance you will see that he has a refined but new school paddling style resulting from endless freestyle practice and bombing the manky-mank of Colorado and abroad. He travels to rivers all over the world with his hat-weaving HuckZeGnar posse and is definitely a multimedia fanatic with plenty of video, photo, and writing projects under his beanie.
