Ian Garcia is my brother and a life long kayaking compadre. He is a very subtle and humble person both on and off the river. Ian has traveled all over the world and is in the midst of a 4 month long adventure to Africa. He has taught me so much over the past years of kayaking and traveling and is a mentor of mine. You will never hear Ian talk about how gnarly of a drop he ran or how big of a pan-am he just threw, even though he goes as big as anyone out there. This is why it's so easy to get along and spend time with him. We were both born and raised in Bozeman MT, learning to kayak from our Pops, on the Gallatin and Yellowstone rivers. Ian has always been a person who can excel very quickly at anything he puts his mind to, kayaking was no exception. Ian always has shown me the way, weather it be down some steep Montucky mank or how to repair a raft working at Northern Lights for my family's business. Hopefully some day all of you will get the chance to paddle or met this young ripper out there on the river or at a big party!!!! By Evan Garcia
