Spending time with class 5 kayakers is something I've done alot of. I'm thankful for that. Maybe it's because we share the same affliction - You know, the must run more rivers thing. It's endless. You and your partners in crime. Driven to put ourselves in the enviroment that we do, we cross paths and share experiences that couldnt help but to bring us closer together. It's in this constant unfolding that I met Lizzy English. Her drive for kayaking (and life) is as pure as the Montana snow she grew up in. Being around her reminds me its all good. She is able to balance raw adventure and preperation for her future, according to what her dreams are, and she does it with a smile and a kind heart. Lets say the world of whitewater is a cake, women like Lizzy are the icing. Bros be warned, when paddling with Lizzy, lose the "if a girl can do it so can I" attitude. I've known Lizzy to drop in on shit that would make most guys want their mommy. She has knocked out tough runs all over the globe at this point and I have a feeling she is just getting started. Lizzy has already developed her skill to a level that makes her one of the top female paddlers anywhere. You know how they say "kayaking isn't everything" right? Lizzy knows that. Riding a mountain, driven by gravity, Lizzy finds her outlet, connection, pleasure or whatever you want to call it. Summer or winter, bike or skis, Lizzy rides! All hype aside,I am glad to know there is a Lizzy English out there in the world. Firing it up for the right reasons. Stoked. Living her life to the fullest. -Billy Jones
