That’s why we have decided to offer them ours. The Astro Pad dog bed is created from the excess high-grade closed cell buoyant foams and durable fabrics used in our lifejackets manufacturing. We have been saving these scraps since we started about 6 years ago with the intention of creating truly unique and handcrafted products as an alternative to the landfill.

The Astro Pad comes to you from the Astral Buoyancy Company. Located in Asheville NC, Astral makes the world’s finest lifejackets for kayakers and sailors. This dog bed is the first in a new line of Astral By-Products aimed at reducing its factory’s waste to nil. Among other things, Astral is credited with moving the entire lifejacket industry away from toxic PVC.
