Name: J.E.B. Hall
Occupation: Fly Fishing Guide for Alaska West
Job Description: Driving small jet boats through insanely skinny water to get clients in position to enjoy some of the best fishing in North America.
Location: Lower Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta, Bering Sea Coast, Southwest Alaska
Other: Fishing pro for Feel Free Kayaks and Southeast creeking weirdo.

Each summer I spend around 90 consecutive days wearing a PFD. The majority of those days are nasty. An average day in the lower Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta can mean high winds, steady rain, and cold temperatures. These conditions mean that I have to wear my PFD over not only my fishing waders, but several layers of clothing as well. Having a PFD that fits comfortably over all of my gear and can function as more than a flotation device, is key. Most “life jackets” that are designed for fishing are either too bulky to be comfortable or too gadgety to function. The Sea Wolf is the perfect blend of safe, comfy PFD and low profile tech pack.. The large front pocket easily holds two small fly boxes, multiple tippet spools, and essential snacks. The hand warmer area is awesome for nesting my digits on long boat rides in the rain. Above all, the fit is what I like the best. Easy on and off over a bulky rain jacket, but still snugs down tight enough to give me confidence when driving my jet boat through sketchy channels and tight corners. The lower riding, snug feel of this jacket also means that you can keep it on and still fly cast. Even with a Spey rod, the Sea Wolf never gets in the way while you fish.
I like the Sea Wolf so much that I have chosen to wear it on several difficult whitewater kayaking runs and I wore it as my primary jacket for a 17 day trip down the Grand Canyon in November 2011.
The Sea Wolf Rocks!!!!!!!!

JEB is the man. I can only imagine the all the powersliding and hairpin turns to avoid log jams and shallow gravel bars he must have experienced. I would have wore this sweet PFD/pack for sure when I was running jetboats in AK if I new about. Better safe than sorry. That’s a product I support.
