Here at Astral we are always looking for new outlets to get our products on the water. This past week I was approached by The Dr. Scotty Orville from Athens, GA about participating in this years RE: Generation Festival, headlined by Sound Tribe Sector Nine. The annual festival is located at The Deerfiels, a lage outdoor venue about 30 minutes east of Asheville near Mill’s River.
With no time to spare I met up with Dinver from Pyranha/Venture Kayaks and we loaded the Fest Trailer with 4 Venture Kayaks and plenty of Astral PFD’s. Basically, the weekend consisted of some flatwater paddling, lots of swimming, fishing, and some of the best grooves this side of Santa Cruz (home of STS9).
I HIGHLY recommend checking out this festival. Astral is planning on heading back with an even larger selection of jackets to try next year. I have never seen a show from water level until last weekend. I can’t explain how awesome it is to float in your Aquavest 200 while jamming to the Tribe.
Thanks to Dinver and Venture Kayaks for getting a lot of paddlers in kayaks for the first time and a big shout out to The Dr. Scotty O and the ATL crew for such a great time!
