The second part of my trip to Italy with friends from the Czech Republic was really fun too. We took a break for a few days after filming in some rough conditions. Then we were ready again so we went on advice from a lot of our friends to the Ayasse River located a little further south so the snow melt was peaking and tempreratures were much warmer. We ended up staying for three days just lapping the sections and filming all the time. I can definitely recommend going out there because I feel like Ayasse is a new class V classic river in the southern Alps. Its beautiful and its just a pure creekers paradise. Smooth granite gorges full of slides and drops deep in the Italian Alps. Check out these sweet pictures Meg took out there. Thanks!

It finally warmed up after two weeks in Corsica and there I was on the road up north to the Italian Alps. In a small car made in the Czech Republic was myself, Meg Smith and our buddy Jakub Sedivy. We were all tired of kayaking and travelling every day, but ready to go for some more. For the last week of April the three of us and two of our friends from Czech set up a filming session in the Southern Alps. Usually a sunny and warm area, it was cold, rainy, and with almost no water in rivers. The Valley of the Sesia river still offers some world class granite kayaking so we started with a full on filming and kayaking mission. From over 10 creeks flowing into Sesia we picked out three: Sorba, Equa and upper Mastalone. Our goal was to find easy accesable drops so we could step up our kayaking skills in front of HD cameras. I saw some of the coolest techniques to shoot videos and I have learned a lot from it. Really good times and really good kayaking was a great thing to do all last week even though the weather conditions werent that good. For the next two days we are just enjoying the sun, drying our gear, doing yoga and getting ready to go back into a canyon with kayaks, best friends and some sweet toys to play with and get more kayak videos out there.
